The July chicken barbecue fundraiser was a sell-out. The weather was not very cooperative, however our faithful customers all turned out to support our cause. Our new groomer, drag and compactor should all be here before our next barbecue, which will be held on October 8th at the Ludlow Veteran’s Park. If you can help, call or e-mail the Club, if not, just come and buy a chicken dinner.
In addition to the chicken barbecue fundraisers, we have been holding a separate “Groomer Purchasing” fund drive which has helped a great deal. This effort is on-going, so if you haven’t donated it’s still not too late and we could really use whatever amount you can spare. Also, we are in the early stages of our annual raffle made possible by our very generous members. The grand prize will be a condo in St. Thomas for a week along with spending money. First prize will be a condo on Okemo Mountain for a week along with ski passes and spending money. Second prize is a luxury two-day stay at Echo Lake Inn, Ludlow and several other prizes and gift certificates. Only 600 tickets will be printed for this raffle.
