Cronchers Receive Effort Award from VAST

At the 39th annual VAST meeting held In Late September, The Sidehill Cronchers received the "Effort" award. The award was accepted on behalf of the club by John Murphy, Doug Peabody and James Ellis who were attending the meeting held in Barre Vt. If you did not see a copy of the November VAST News, here is what the article written by the VAST Trails Coordinator Alexis Nowalk said about the club.

There are clubs that raise the bar on exemplary service to their members, to their community and to VAST, and the Sidehill Cronchers is one club that has done all of the above and then some. This year I couldn't just recognize one individual from the club, so I decided that the Effort Award should go to the entire club as they work together and are the example of what teamwork is all about. The Sidehill Cronchers have developed credibility and rapport with their landowners, community and their local legislatures and most of all they love to have fun!

Congratulations to all our hard working members.

Web-Cam Weather Station

Our weather station was recently installed and is now available on the website. It's really quite impressive and will tell you just about everything you want or need to know about conditions on the hill. It will give you the wind speed, wind chill, and wind gust, high and low temperatures for the day as well as sunrise and sunset times. It's a work in process, so we may need to tweak a few things here and there but for the most part, everything appears to be working well. So before you get all bundled up and head out on the trails this season, be sure to check the Weather conditions first. A Big thanks to Steve Wilson and Rick Yuris for all the time and effort they have put into this project.

TMA's are now available and if you purchase yours before December 17th, you will be entered in the VAST drawing to be eligible to win a new snowmobile of your choice. Drawing will be held January 8th.
