Ludlow Side Hill Cronchers

The 11/07/07 meeting of the Ludlow Side Hill Cronchers Snowmobile Club was called to order by President Murphy at 6:30 PM. The meeting was held at the Ellisons' Lake House.

The 10/6/07 minutes, upon a motion by Terry Ellison, seconded by Randy Ellison, were accepted as presented.

The Treasurer's report, upon a motion by Randy Ellison seconded by Steve Kondracki was accepted as presented.

Correspondence for the month was presented to the membership by Secretary Douglas Peabody.

Under Trails the following was reported:
Bridge Decking Okemo Trail - Terry Ellison reported that everything depends on the weather after hunting season is over as we were not able to get to the project earlier because of the extensive trail construction required on North and South Hill.

Soapstone Road Culvert - Doug reported that this project is completed.

Brian Glenn Re-route - President Murphy and Steve Kondracki report that this project is complete.

North Hill Re-route - Doug Peabody reports that the excavator will be available on Friday from Brett Sanderson and this project will be completed on the weekend.

Additional Grooming Mt Holly - President Murphy reports that he has not heard back from VAST on this issue.

Okemo - This project which was brought to our attention a short time ago consists of a gate and fence installation requested by a new landowner. Terry Ellison will determine our needs for this project and see it through completion.

Downed Trees - Terry and Randy Ellison will keep track of any problems that may arise and take care of them. Everything is taken care of at this time.

Trail Signing - Terry and Randy Ellison will assure all signs are in place before the season begins.

Under Groomer the following was reported:
Two Way Radio - no progress to report at this time.

Safety Equipment - no progress to report at this time.

Plow Frame Committee - the new frame has been delivered and insurance company checks have been received to cover the cost.

Training Program Committee - Terry Ellison is coordinating this project.

Groomer Servicing - Terry and Randy Ellison are going to coordinate this with Brett Sanderson and schedule a work night to prepare the groomer for the season.

Under Unfinished Business the following was reported:
Ancient Roads Committee - James Ellis attended the most recent meeting and reported little progress.

Safety Course - Safety Officer Ron Bixby will conduct this year's course on December 8th at the Ludlow Fire Department.

Under New Business the following was reported:
Annual Road Use Letter - The letter to the Board of Selectmen requesting permission to ride on certain roads was reviewed and will be updated by Doug Peabody who will forward it to the Town Manager's Office.

Mount Holly - President Murphy reported that he received an invitation to attend a social gathering of the Mount Holly Club. John, James and Doug attended and reported a successful and rewarding gathering was held and many new friends were made.

TMA Program - Doug and Terry Peabody attended a seminar put on by VAST on the new TMA system. They report that the event was useful and the information will be passed on to Missy Waysville, Membership Chairman, (couldn't attend because of illness) and to our TMA outlets. New TMA stickers should be available on Tuesday the 13th. All present members have been mailed an application form and it is available on the web site.

The next meeting will be held on Saturday, December 8th, 6:30 PM at Cheryl and Randy Ellison's on Ellison Lake Road, in Ludlow.

There being no further business to conduct the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM.
